Tasmanian State Election 2018

The Tasmanian State Government election will be held on Saturday 3 March.

As the State’s peak advocacy body for seniors, COTA Tasmania has been seeking views of candidates in the five state electorates on a range of topics affecting older Tasmanians.

Statement of Aspiration

Sixteen Tasmanian Peak and Industry Body organisations have agreed to support the adoption of a common set of principles and priorities in the framing of the State Election.  To read about the partners and the shared statement of aspirations, click HERE.

Candidate Survey

There are 109 registered candidates for the State Election. We are currently polling as many as possible via an online survey, asking them 26 questions on issues affecting older Tasmanians, ranging from flu innoculations to digital literacy for older people.
