Hobart Walk Against Elder Abuse

Do something truly life-affirming this World Elder Abuse Awareness Day and march against elder abuse on 15 June.

Every year, passionate, caring Tasmanians of all ages march to support the right of older people to live without ageism and abuse.

In 2022, three roads in a Hobart city block will be closed so that our march can have the biggest possible visual impact.

Professional traffic managers will ensure walkers are kept safe.

We will gather in Elizabeth Street Mall at 9.50am for a 10am start.

We’ll finish at Mathers Place in Bathurst Street, where the wonderful staff of Mathers House will provide a free morning tea.

Bring your friends, your colleagues and your family.

The more people who attend, the farther the message will spread that older people deserve the same rights as people of every age, including the right to be safe, respected and welcomed in the life of our communities.

To register, email lynm@cotatas.org.au or ring 6231 32 65.
