The Fellowship of Australian Writers Tasmania holds seminars conducted by some of Australia’s top literary professionals in poetry, short-story writing, script writing, novels and children’s literature. Monthly meetings give members an opportunity to share or critique work. There is often a guest speaker.
TasWriters offers a hub for the dissemination of advice, information and resources, supporting a network of flourishing writers’ groups across the State. People are invited to drop into the Centre (please call beforehand).
The Eastern Shore Writers’ Group meet for shared readings with the opportunity for positive feedback, supper, discussion, including news, opportunities and often a discussion topic. Members of all ages are welcome. Writing for discussion (max 800 words) must be submitted for circulation a week before each meeting. During COVID-19, the group is also meeting monthly online via Zoom. See separate activity listing.
