The Glenorchy Pool is open during summer and has a heated 50 metre pool, 2 heated wading pools and a 60 metre waterslide, and the Pool can host Pool Parties. Professional supervision, friendly staff and heated water means you can play all day. The pool is open weekdays, Saturdays 8am to 5pm and Sundays 9am to 5pm.
The Fly Fishers' Club of Tasmania is made of members from all walks of life who share a love of Tasmania's trout fishery, ecology, bush walking and the preservation of Tasmanian wilderness areas. The Club host events throughout the year.
Fishtas is all about recreational angling in Australia's only Island state. Members, various government agencies, professional fishermen and charter operators provide tips and daily news on what's happening within the fishing circles of Tasmania.
The Corralinn Fly Fishing and Casting Association promotes participation in fly fishing and casting, organises outings and competitions, conducts regular casting practice and hosts monthly fly tying nights at the Newstead Tennis and Squash Centre on Wednesdays at 7.30pm.
The Bushy Park War Memorial Swimming Pool is open for the summer period from December to March.
It includes a kiosk, toilet and change rooms, and a BBQ and picnic area. Contact pool to confirm opening times.
The Aquatic Centre has a family leisure pool and beach entry pool that offers a family friendly area with lots of fun water play activities and provides wheelchair access to the 25 metre pool. The pool is open 6am to 9pm on weekdays and 8am to 6pm on weekends.
