Sisongke is a joyous, dynamic, ‘a capella’ community choir that is open to everyone, regardless of singing ability.The name “Sisongke” means “together” in Zulu, and the group now sings all sorts of World Music. Email Carol if you would like to come to rehearsals on Thursday’s at 7pm at Friends Meeting House, in Friends School campus on the corner of Boa Vista Road and Argyle Street, Newtown.

Fullers Bookshop is running a daily guided reading of Shakespeare’s 154 Sonnets, led by their own Dr Tim Jarvis (host of their Shakespeare Group). Those signed up will receive an email with notes and observations about that day’s sonnet each weekday. There is no cost, but you are encouraged to buy your copy of the Sonnets from Fullers.
