BODRA aims to bring exciting & inspiring arts and culture to St Marys, Fingal, St Helens and surrounding towns. BODRA host creative arts workshops, promote creative writing opportunities, and host regular markets.
The Cancer Council's Daffodil Day is Friday 28 August, and are asking supporters to cut, sew, stick, glue, knit and crochet daffodils or yellow items to sell this year. They have a guide with ideas to get your started. The aim is to create 3000 daffodils - the same number of Tasmanian's diagnosed with cancer each year.
The Royal Hobart Hospital Yarn Bomb is back this year and though there is no installation date yet because of COVID-19, people can start knitting, crocheting, or making pom-poms now. Help make people laugh, smile and sing during difficult times.
Commencing 31st January 2020, wonderful arts tutor, Lynn Ashton, will be working to a curriculum and all types of creative arts are supported. Registrations are essential.
Volunteer your time to this worthy program to help make reusable shopping bags, whilst making new friends. Materials are donated and there’s a job for everyone to do. If you can’t make it to our Friday group sessions, then take a kit home and make some bags in your spare time.
