TasWriters Workshops

TasWriters are hosting online writing workshops. These workshops provide writers with an income stream and can boost your creative writing skills. Workshops are open to members and non-members.

Eastern Shore Writers' Group

The Eastern Shore Writers’ Group usually meet for shared readings with the opportunity for positive feedback, supper, discussion, including news, opportunities and often a discussion topic. While the group is meeting face-to-face again, they continue to meet online via Zoom during COVID-19. Writing (max 800 words) must be submitted for circulation a week before each meeting.

Write Here Hobart

Write Here Hobart meet to write for two hours, surrounded by other writers. What you write is entirely up to you and you’re not expected to share it with anyone else. It’s all about getting out of the house and getting some words down. Bring your own writing materials.

Fellowship of Australian Writers Tasmania

The Fellowship of Australian Writers Tasmania holds seminars conducted by some of Australia’s top literary professionals in poetry, short-story writing, script writing, novels and children’s literature. Monthly meetings give members an opportunity to share or critique work. There is often a guest speaker.

TasWriters

TasWriters offers a hub for the dissemination of advice, information and resources, supporting a network of flourishing writers’ groups across the State. People are invited to drop into the Centre (please call beforehand).
