Bruny Island Quarantine Station

Bruny Island Quarantine Station

The Bruny Island Quarantine Station incorporates many different aspects of human occupancy, from the early Aboriginal occupation by the Nuenonne to the present day. The site includes a Heritage Walk, regular working bees to help maintain the Station, and opportunities for volunteers to live on the site as caretaker.

63 species of birds have been found on site to date and 33 native orchids. There is information on the flora and fauna on site as well as the Heritage self-guided interpretive walk which is certainly suitable for the elderly.  Group bookings can be facilitated by contacting Parks Tasmania.

Toilets are available on site.
