Many local Neighbourhood and Community Houses are offering support during COVID-19, including food assistance, advice and support. Find your nearest House to find out what they may be able to help you with.
Come and meet your neighbours and share in a cuppa, nibbles and a chat. An event for the whole community, run by the community. Please bring a gold coin donation.
The Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania hosts a range of activities for members of the Club and community, including Senior Pilates, monthly lunch groups, sailing courses, an annual cruise on Opening Day and regular socialising opportunities. The Club is home to National Seniors, Probus and Ionians, of which members can participate.
Eating With Friends brings older people together for a nutritious meal, to meet new people and make new friends. The program is about reducing social isolation, improving well-being and building community capacity.
The Glenorchy Golden Years Club is open to anyone over 40 years of age from the Glenorchy and surrounding areas. They offer a range of activities each day in their centre, including hot lunches on Monday and Tuesday. New members are welcome.
