There are two main hockey competitions in the north of Tasmania: the Northern Hockey League (NHL) and the Greater Northern League (GNL). The GNL is played across Launceston, Burnie, Devonport and Smithton venues.

The Deloraine Golf Club is a 9-hole course that hosts competitions and every day play.

Mowbray Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 71 course that hosts competitions and every day public access with a golfing accessory shop on-site and function room.

Greens Beach Golf Club is a 9-hole par 71 course that hosts competitions, social events and public access.

Exeter Golf Club is a 9-hole course that hosts competitions and every day public access.

The Scottsdale Golf Club is open Tuesday's and Saturday's and hosts competitions, events and non-member access.
