Online peer support is available for families and friends of people with mental ill health. This is an opportunity to chat and share information online with other people with similar experiences. As a support person, it is important to take a break and spend some time talking to people who understand what you’re going through.
The Salvation Army Launceston and Launceston WayFM serve free (and delicious) egg and bacon muffins with coffee or hot chocolate every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with free dinners are served Wednesday. Anyone in need of a nice, hot meal is more than welcome.

It is free and anonymous and has over 360,000 services to find housing, meals, healthcare, counselling, legal advice, addiction treatment and a whole lot more. If you’re on the Telstra mobile network, you can access Ask Izzy even if you don’t have credit.
Working It Out has information about how people who identify as LGBTIQ+ or as gender/sexuality diverse to get or give support during COVID-19. Resources for staying connected and active are also available.
