Men's Resources Tasmania is a not-for-profit, community organisation that aims to support and promote the wellbeing of Tasmanian men and boys. The website has a range of resources available for men from a range of backgrounds, Support pages for men needing assistance, and training opportunities and events.
Members of Men’s Sheds come from all walks of life - the bond that unites them is that they are men with time on their hands and they would like something meaningful to do with that time. Men can visit a Men's Shed to learn new skills, develop a hobby or just come and have a yarn and a cuppa if that is all they’re looking for.
The Living Boat Trust is dedicated to keeping Tasmania's marine heritage alive. It aims to maintain traditional boat building, repairing, rowing and sailing skills, and to be a vital part of its community. It celebrates the history and beauty of this area and strive for a sustainable way of life for all concerned.
The Kingston Men's Shed is a partner with the Kingston Community Garden. Members can use the resources of the Shed to do their own thing, or work as part of a group to help raise funds for the Shed. Knowledge and experience are shared, information exchanged, jokes told and, when necessary, support and encouragement provided.
Dover Community Workshop, originally the Dover Men's Shed, has both male and female members. The Shed includes arts & crafts, pottery & ceramics, quilting, toy making, welding, woodwork and many community projects.
