From time to time opportunities will arise for COTA Tasmania to make submissions and be involved in community consultation and research projects. We feel it is important for COTA to represent older people, and all Tasmanians as they age, on issues important to our experiences of ageing.

Healthy, Engaged and Resilient Consultation on Active Ageing
During February – June this year, COTA Tasmania undertook state-wide consultation activities across lutruwita, Tasmania, about people’s experiences of ageing and what they feel needs to be considered, funded and influencing future policy directions. This included traditional surveys and postcard responses, community conversation groups, online sessions and text message input and several collaborations with community organisations to reach as many Tasmanians as possible.
Over 1,500 community members had their say as part of our H.E.A.R Active Ageing Consultation.
We will be sharing information about our consultation over the coming months.
